Matteo's structural study on the pore-forming toxin Aerolysin, a major part of his PhD in the group of Matteo Dal Peraro at EPFL, was recently published in Nature Chemical Biology. By combining experimental and computational approaches, his results provide near-atomic detail on the mechanisms of  assembly and insertion into the host cell membrane.
