Dale studied for his PhD in the lab of Professor Alison Ashcroft at the University of Leeds, investigating the conformational and higher order structural properties of viral protein complexes by mass spectrometry. In our group, together with that of Andrew Baldwin, he investigated the structural and dynamical target-binding properties of sHSPs using mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy.
