Shreya was born in Thrissur, Kerala, and completed her BSc in Chemistry at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, followed by an MRes in Chemical Research at King’s College London, where she became fascinated by the dynamic nature of proteins. Her master's thesis focused on the characterisation of the FUS protein. She is now pursuing a DPhil in Chemistry at St Cross College, University of Oxford. She is interested in applying hydrogen–deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) to understand the conformational dynamics of proteins
